Stockton

Stockton was being a little stinker today & not listening to his father. So Nic threatened him to listen or he would get a spank. Unfortunately, Stockton didn't listen. -- Imagine that, a 3 year old not listen, Wierd-- so he got a little tap on the bottom, and what he said next, cracked me up.
"Hey, what was that all about?" & when he didn't get an answer, he asked again.. "Hey, Dad, What was that all about?" After a quick giggle, Nic told him it was for not listening., but still, STINKING CUTE!

Stocktons Ear

About a week ago, Stockton was complaining of an itchy ear. His way of fixing it was to lick his finger then stick it in his ear & wiggle it. This is a child who will never fear a "Wet Willie". So I decided I would clean it out with hydrogen peroxide. A few pieces of was floated up, then I saw something funny, I couldn't get it out with a Q-tip, so I got it out with my eyebrow tweezers.

It was a sticker. A sticker that goes on finger/toe nails. My guess... I had places some on Cassidy's fingernails a few days earlier. She had gotten into the bath before him & one must have come off. then he got in the same bath water & while he was getting his hair washed, it must ahve floated into his ear. I really can't think of how else this could have happened. It was one of the smaller stickers on the sheet, but still, it was wierd to find it in his ear.

Trents football game

Go #45

Trent had his last football game today, & their team won! That's 3 wins and 3 losses.. Not too bad! He had a good game and good attutide.

DATC 30th anniversery

So I took Cassidy & Stockton to the DATC's 30th anniversery bash. Lots of fun. Free food--- but the lines weren't worth the wait. Balloons, games, face painting, bounce houses, & best of all My 99.5. The kids got my 99.5 chapstick, dinosaur heads, a frisbee, & hand sanitizer. Woop woop! Something fun for the kids. The fire truck was the best part. The Layton city fire truck was there & let kids climb in & all around it, my kids had a blast.

I've always liked Bill Cosby

I agree with Just about 90% of what he is saying

I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE.
HERE IS MY PLATFORM:

(1) 'Press 1 for English' is immediately banned. English is the official language; speak it or wait at the border until you can.
(2) We will immediately go into a two year isolationist posture to straighten out the country's attitude. NO imports, no exports.
We will use the 'Wal-Mart's policy, 'If we ain't got it, you don't need it.'
(3) When imports are allowed, there will be a 100% import tax on it.
(4) All retired military personnel will be required to man one of our many observation towers on the southern border. (six month tour) They will be under strict orders not to fire on SOUTHBOUND aliens.!
(5) Social security will immediately return to its original state. If you didn't put nuttin in, you ain't gettin nuttin out. The president nor any other politician will not be able to touch it.

(6) Welfare - Checks will be handed out on Fridays at the end of the 40 hour school week and the successful completion of urinalysis and a passing grade.
(7) Professional Athletes --Steroids - The FIRST time you check positive you're banned for life.
(8) Crime - We will adopt the Turkish method, the first time you steal, you lose your right hand. There is no more life sentences. If convicted, you will be put to death by the same method you chose for your victim; gun, knife, strangulation, etc.
(9) One export will be allowed; Wheat, The world needs to eat. A bushel of wheat will be the exact price of a barrel of oil.
(10) All foreign aid using American taxpayer money will immediately cease, and the saved money will pay off the national debt and ultimately lower taxes. When disasters occur around the world, we'll ask the American pe! ople if they want to donate to a disaster fund, and each citizen can make the decision whether it's a worthy cause.
(11) The Pledge of Allegiance will be said every day at school and every day in Congress.
(12) The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies, sporting events, outings, etc.
Sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes but a v ote for me will get you better than what you have, and better than what you're gonna get. Thanks for listening, and remember to write in my name on the ballot in November.

God Bless America !!!!!!!!!!!
Bill Cosby!!!!!!!!

Sounds right

BE SURE TO READ THIS. WHEN DOING THE MATH YOU WILL BE SHOCKED AT WHAT
THE AIG BAILOUT MONEY COULD MEAN...

This would be WAY too logical

I LIKE THIS KIND OF CREATIVE THINKING !!!!

I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.
To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000
bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+. Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man,
woman`and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and
up.. So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals
$425,000.00. My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve
It Dividend.
Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.
Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.
That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.
But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their
pocket.
A husband and wife has $595,000.00.
What would you do with $297,500..00 to $595,000.00 in your
family? Pay off your mor tgage - housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college - it'll be there
Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car - create jobs Invest in the market - capital drives growth
Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else
Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the
folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company
that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed
Forces. If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do
it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive
that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.
If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out
every adult U S Citizen 18+!
As for AIG - liquidate it. Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it
up. Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.
Sure it's a crazy idea that can never work."
But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!
How do you spell Economic Boom?
I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85
Billion We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in
Washington DC.
And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion
because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.
Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

Kindest personal regards,
Birk
T. J. Birkenmeier,
A Creative Guy & Citizen of the Republic
PS: Feel free to pass this along to your pals as it's either
good for a laugh or a tear or a very sobering thought on how to best use
$85 Billion!!

PEACHES

Well, this would be the week we do peaches. I did a batch last night, a batch tonight & I will be doing some tomorrow night, sa well as drying them. My house has a nice light fruit smell. & a few fruit flies.

Stockton also loves the rain.

Nic & I were watching Stockton jumping & dancing in puddles. As I ran to get my camera, Nic told Stockton to quit jumping. So once I got back out there, it took a little coaxing to get him to jump again.

Nature

I sure love a good thunderstorm!

Trent had a lot of play time in this game, bummer they lost. He did a good job though!
Go Syracuse 45!

***CLOTHES***

I went through Cassidy's clothes & due to the fact that she has to wear uniform clothes to school , she has quite a few gently used items-- First come first serve. They are sizes 4T-6 & some slims. The sixes run a little small, otherwise she might fit into them. Dresses, pants, capri's and a lot of dress jackets. If you have a question on a specific item, or want a better picture, let me know. No, I'm not selling them, they are just too nice for the DI. Most of them are GAP, Limited Too, Old Navy, Ralph Lauren

Band

Well, after being a band for 2 days, they had a concert. Sorry if you missed it. They played from 3:30-4:45 then Trent went to football, & they continued from 7:15-9:00. Then I had to be the "un-cool Mom" & kick them out. Time for bed for the little ones. & I am one of the little ones. But they preformed the same 2 songs "Pour some sugar on me" and "We will, We will rock you" Over and over and over.........
So I am again the un-cool mom today when I decide that the band take a break ALL day today.
So did anyone listen to how catchy my favorite new song is? I am listening to it now. I also went to look for a new CD today, but Walmart didn't have it. Sweeney Todd sound track.. Who has seen it? It's a musical for the ladies, & a bloody kill for the gents. I'd say more bloody than singing. pretty dark-- Anyone remember the late 90's movie "Ravenous" if you liked that, this is a good movie for you to watch.

Almost dead cat

WELL, TRENT HAS STARTED A BAND. HE PLAYS THE DRUMS AND HAS A FEMALE SINGER WHO PLAYS THE GUITAT. THEY HAVE BEEN PRACTICING NOW FOR ABOUT 3 HOURS.

Sorry, I feel like I have to yell, it's a little loud in here.

Yes, I just took one of my headache pills, & gave them the 5 minute warning. What does the title "almost dead cat" have to do with this. When I post a little video of them, you will understand. I know everyone has to start somewhere, but maybe 1 hour at a time, 2 X's a week.-- Ha ha ha, I can hear Nic opening the Tylenol. Only 4 minutes to go..... We will, we will rock you; pour some sugar on me, at least they are rotating.

I went to the chiropractor again today, think it could be as little as 30 days, or up to 90 until I am good again. either way, I look forward to less pain... Ahhhh 3 more minutes. They are trying to figure out "Deep Purple's; Smoke on the water" but are only getting the first 11 guitar notes of the song.. If you've heard it, you know the note sequence. I wouldn't mind it if they learned the notes to that catchy new Ben Folds song. You Don't know me
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nS6ZbQvNBCM&feature=related
Really a fun catchy song, for me anyway. I like having that song in my head.
Ahhh, I can hear them coming up stairs..**SIGH** all done. Time for a relaxing bath.

Mary Kay

So, I have a friend who is getting out of the Mary Kay business, & is doing a final order. I went on line to see what I wanted, and found this really cool thing. http://www.marykay.com/whatsnew/virtualmakeover/default.aspx

I uploaded a picture of me. I used this one. Then I could change my eye shadow, my lip & cheek color, it was actually pretty fun. How do you keep Amber busy- by playing virtual make-over of course.

I will be doing peaches soon--we all look forward to seeing that! Bottling peaches also means fresh peach pie-- Yummy, that will be next weeks recipe of the week. Speaking of recipes, the cinnamon rolls I tried came out great-- I did put a little too much frosting on them, but still good.

ME

How am I feeling you ask? Better, a little stiff, & I was cold for most of the morning, having an ice pack on the left side of my fanny most of the day.
I'm gonna give a little shout out to Trent-- Who has a football game against Clinton @ Syracuse tomorrow- They have won all their games, except for the last one-- doing well so far.
My weekend, well besides the game, I've got a baby shower for my neice, & a little get together at a friends house. & I'll be tring a new recipe,, not new to me, but new in the fact that I've never tried to make it before. I've got some "Turkey balls" as they are called by us Chournos's that I will be skewering & grilling, & the new recipe-- Cinnamon rolls. Hope they turn out good.
--Also for my fellow cooks, I've decided to take 2 cooking classes at the DATC, if anyone is interested in taking them with me, one is--- Cooking Itilian basics-- The other is Hosting Thanksgiving dinner. I'm not sure I'll be hosting this year, but my passion for cooking has helped me decide, that I'll go anyway. It's $35.00 each class.

Ouch

Okay, so I have had some headaches, backaches, painful hips, & it all started to be a little too much for my mind power to handle. So today I spent 2 hours at the chiropractor's. After some X-rays and some other testing-- he showed me my neck, hips, & back, compared to "normal ones. Well Okay, I could certainly see the difference.
My neck is supposed to go like this (
My neck looks like this )
Yea, that would explain my migraines &upper back pain. Doctor said this was probably from an injury that happened about 5 years ago.
Nexy we move on to my back. My mid-lower back was curved correctly, but not spaced well.
Once again-- normal _ _ _ _ _ _
how mine looks _ _ _ ___ _
Yup missing a few spaces.
Now my hips have bothered me for quite some time. Thanks to punctuation, here is yet another example:
The l is my spine & the - are my hips
Normal -l-
Mine _l-
Yup, my hips are not alligned. How about that? So lots of doctor visits for a while-- As said on the simpsons;
"I'll need to see you every 2 weeks for the rest of your life"
He did a little adjusting & OMG the pain...
I'll be icing myself down for a while. If anyone needs me, check the freezer.

Talented

Not only do I bottle fruit, I can do Hair! I gave Cassidy bangs, Trimmed up Trents Moppy hair (not that you can tell). I also put in a little brown & a lot of Blond. I used the cap on Trents hair & tin foil on Cassidy's. Not too bad. You'll have to look back through my pictures a bit & see if the change is noticeable.

School

It sure feels great to sleep with the windows open. Who agree's ahhhh, nice cool breeze. Which in about 3 monthes I won't like. I'll will be lonely for my warm nights.

So I am finally getting around to posting the kids pictures-- "First day of School" at Syracuse Arts Academy. And yes, for anyone who is wondering I Love that school & I love having my kids in uniforms. It really makes it easy. The only rule I have is not to wear a blue shirt w/ blue pants. I think Trent wears it just because I said not to. Sounds about right though ehhh.
